This was part of a month long course project to redesign and revolutionize the UCLA Extension website to attract new students and retain existing ones.
After recruiting repersentitive Users of the site, I conducted ethnographic interviews with them. Those findings were distilled to help create personas to use as a design targert. I also compared the current site with other UC Extension sites. I then identified requirements and created a primary scenario based on the research findings.
From there I created a conceptual design and a draft of the detailed design that illustrated the primary path through the site. A usability test script and paper prototype was created and used to test subjects.
After gathering the feedback and observations from the usability test, the design was refined and a final detailed design wireframe and sample screen shot was created.
